Short Film Competition

Welcoming Entries for our first Short Film Competition by The Arts Collective Mumbai as part of our Arts Festival "OUR CITY. OUR ENVIRONMENT."

Please fill out the entry form and upload your video file to complete your submission.

The Closing Date for Entries is FRIDAY 26th January 2024.

Criteria for your entry:

- Theme of your short film should be in line with the "Our City. Our Environment."

- Duration of the short film must not exceed 3 minutes exactly

- Format of your video file should be MP4 or MOV

- All submissions should be in 1080HD quality

- All submissions should be in landscape (horizontal) format

- All films should be filmed using phone cameras only

- The style, content, language are totally up to you

- Please avoid strongly religious content

- If your film is in any language other than English or Hindi, please provide the translation in doc or pdf format

- We will accept one submission per film maker

- We welcome team submissions

Our panel of judges will make their selection based on a points system of several criteria. The top 10 selected will be screened at our Screening and Awards event. The film makers of the top 10 films will be able to share something about their film for 3 minutes and then take a few questions from the audience. The top 3 prize winners will be awarded their prizes at the end of the night.

ANNOUNCING THE PRIZES

All participants in our Short Film Competition will receive a participation certificate and gift

Our top 3 winning films will receive a trophy, certificate and PVR film pass

Our 1st prize winning film will also have the chance to make a short film with Nine One Films, produced by our competition Judge Nandita Karnad. The film can be 10-30mins and the costs will be fully born by Nine One Films. This is an incredible opportunity for our winning film maker to have their own ideas come to life with great locations, actors and get their work seen on a wider platform.

We will also be giving special recognitions when a film has stood out in a particular category.
